When Robert Rhoades founded Diamond -R- Electric in 2006, he knew the market was right for an electrical contractor who followed a few time-honored principles: Honesty, Integrity, and Value. With $1,500, a truck, and one part-time employee, Rob went to work following his principles. What started as Rob and one part-time employee has grown into a regional company serving a variety of clients throughout the southeastern United States. These values were the foundation of the Company and they are still an integral part of who we are today.
Rob grew up on a farm near Elba, Alabama. Following receiving his degree from Auburn University, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry. Having always been fascinated by electricity and having always wanted to own his own business, he decided to make a career change. During his off time, he began to lay the ground work to make a career change. He began working as an electrician apprentice and going back to school during his off time. Upon receiving his Electrical Contractor’s license, he traded the white collar world of pharmaceutical management for work boots and a hard hat and never looked back. In his spare time, Rob enjoys hiking, camping, scuba diving, and spending time with his dog, Dusty.
Dusty joined the team at Diamond -R- Electric in 2015 and has never missed a day of work. He is the first to greet you when you open the door and provides you with an escort during your visit. When not greeting and escorting visitors, Dusty makes his rounds in the office visiting each team member, his unwavering dedication and cheerful presence truly making him an indispensable part of the Diamond -R- Electric family. In his spare time, Dusty enjoys long walks, plenty of afternoon naps, and chasing after his favorite squeaky toy.
